In 2010, we founded our company in Münsing, Bavaria, on Lake Starnberg, with a clear company philosophy and consistent set of values. Like the trolleys themselves and their users, we and all Flat Cat employees are individuals: robust, distinctive, and with a relaxed, informal style. Bavarian with charm, and German in our standards for ourselves, our partners, and our product.

There's enough complexity in the world already. We don't need to add to it. Our Flat Cat trolleys impress with their ease of use and simple operation. SUSTAINABILITY
We live by transparency, responsibility, and self-understanding.
Sustainability hasn't been a marketing buzzword for us since our founding, but a lived reality. Depending on the model, all our trolleys are assembled in Germany or in neighboring Slovakia. The individual parts and materials travel short distances to us and come from reliable suppliers within the EU. Our tubular components come from Telfs in Tyrol. The material is made from recycled aluminum to the highest possible percentage. Our batteries, sourced from suppliers in Germany or Austria, are the best ecological solution because, unlike most other batteries, all the materials used are non-toxic and safe, and therefore easily recyclable.
Our fiberglass-reinforced plastics come from Upper Bavaria and Tyrol, and our electronic components are also sourced via the shortest possible routes. This makes the CO2 footprint of our trolleys so pleasing. Furthermore, every Flat Cat trolley and every accessory is extremely durable and maintenance-free. That, too, is sustainability in the truest sense.
INNOVATION
ROCKET SCIENCE YOU FEEL BUT DON'T SEE.
Building a trolley so flat and compact that it fits in any trolley case, even the smallest car trunk, any basement storage unit, or utility room, folds as easily as a sheet of paper, and is as sturdy as a forklift, is pure innovation. Even just thinking about it is innovative. But that wasn't enough for us. They also have to be lightweight and run so flawlessly and maintenance-free that you practically don't notice them. They have to be able to handle hills, regulate speed continuously, remember the speed setting, and maintain distances. They have to brake in time and come to a reliable stop. They mustn't rust or break, and all the technology should be invisible.
The batteries must be reliable and environmentally friendly, safe and proven. The gearbox must operate flawlessly, or ideally, it shouldn't be there at all. It must be inaudible. And the operation must be so simple that you never give it a second thought. We believe all of this must be meticulously thought out to ensure it truly works. Each of these functional components must be innovative – that is, novel, creative, and resourceful – conceived and executed. Our trolleys can do all of this. Therefore, we consider them highly innovative.

We value reliability, safety, and ethics. Yes, that's right. For us, service is a matter of ethics and morality. You trust your Flat Cat, therefore you trust us, and maintaining that trust is our principle and our worldview.
So we won't leave you on your own. In every country where you can buy your Flat Cat trolley, we have service centers. They're there to help you with advice, support, and assistance. Our trolleys require no maintenance and rarely experience problems. That's why our three-year warranty on the frame and two-year warranty on all other components are standard, but we're also committed to going beyond that. Your trolley is our trolley.
